Theme park design, waiting in line, and the gap between what we enjoy and what we remember
Original series by Justin Bunnell
My family did 12 rides at Magic Kingdom, from rope drop to the last firework, and finished with sore feet, sweat, and a deeply unfortunate need for Vaseline. It became one of our favorite family memories. This video explores that contradiction through filmmaking, theme park design, and the psychology of experience and memory: what we enjoy in the moment, what we remember afterward, and why those aren’t always the same thing.
